Ghoshal heads the healthcare vertical for Merisis Advisors. He has over 14+ years of experience within sell side investment banking as well as the buy side.  Prior to joining Merisis, he has worked for companies such as Deloitte in the Corporate Finance Advisory team and Brand Capital which is the strategic investment arm of the Times of India. Has executed large value transactions across verticals in the fund-raising space. Academically Ghoshal has completed his Masters in Corporate Strategy from the Nottingham University Business School. He also holds professional degrees such as Company Secretary, Cost Account (Finalist) and has also completed his bachelor’s degree in law.

Fintechs are expected to play a vital role in increasing financial inclusion and digital adoption. The total addressable market for Indian fintech is expected to reach $2.1 Tn by 2030, with a CAGR of 18% from 2022. India has seen a significant rise in fintech investment, with about $35 billion invested across segments thus far. Fazal is the Managing Director at Merisis Advisors. He has 25+ years of experience across Investment Banking, Corporate Advisory & Asset Management services. He drives the M&A Strategy at Merisis Advisors. His focus areas include Healthtech, financial Services, IT services and Internet Commerce. He has worked with organizations like Rana Investments, Reliance Industries, Lloyds and Finance across his career before founding Merisis Advisors in 2009. He completed his B.TECH from IIT BHU in 1990 and  MBA from IIM Calcutta in 1994.

Anuj Mehta
Director and Head – FinTech, Merisis Advisors

Anuj Mehta leads Fitech and Financial services transaction advisory at Merisis Advisors. He comes with 15 years+ of Investment Banking experience and has worked across Equity, Structured Debt and Debt in TMT & Offline Consumer space through his career. He is a Chartered Accountant and has worked with companies like Bonanza Corporate Solutions, Wealth Solutions, Deutsche Bank, ICICI Bank and Competent Group.

Ruchi Kapoor
Director and Head – Financial Services, Merisis Advisors

20 years experience in Wealth Management, Fintech, NBFC, Trade and SME Banking. At Merisis, Ruchir manages the wealth-management practice and co-heads the Fintech vertical. Has worked with corporates like Swift, Essel Finance, Tata Capital and ICICI Bank and has managed book sizes of $400mn to $2bn

The Transportation sector has seen a renewed focus post-pandemic as it highlighted the relevance of logistics and supply chains. The sector has seen significant growth in recent years in the number of emerging start-ups, interest from investors, and policy push from the government. Managing Director

Sumir is the Co-founder and Managing Director of Merisis Advisors. At Merisis his focus areas include Transportation, Financial Services, IT Services and internet commerce. He was the banker to Ola Cabs for their Series A raise and counts Flipkart amongst one of his marquee clients. Over the last 25+ years, he  has worked across various roles in corporate finance – as part of the Strategy and M&A at the Aditya Birla Group, M&A at Scandent Group (an IT services company), and as an Investment Banker at Meghraj, before founding Merisis in 2009. He is a Chartered Accountant

Darshan Shah
Vice President, Transportation

Darshan leads the Transportation practice at Merisis along with Sumir Verma. His purview spans across mobility, logistics and cleantech and gaming amongst other verticals at Merisis. He comes with 8 years of Investment Banking experience. He has done his MS-GM from Thunderbird School of Global Management, USA and BTech-IT from VJTI, Mumbai. He is a CFA® Charterholder (CFAI, USA)

The consumer vertical is focused on the needs of the ever-changing Indian consumer. As the customer is evolving, consumer brands and services are on the lookout for constant innovation in order to stay relevant. He is an operator turned Investment Banker with a rich entrepreneurial background and extensive work experience across consumer conglomerates like Procter & Gamble. He has also worked with Deloitte and HCL Talent Care. He holds a B. Tech from NIT, Jamshedpur and an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur.

Shanil Vasa
AVP and Head – Consumer, Merisis Advisors

Shanil Vasa heads the consumer vertical for Merisis Advisors and is based in Mumbai. He has over 7 years of investment banking experience in the consumer sector across early and growth stage fundraising as well as M&As. Prior to joining Merisis, he worked for 5 years at InCorp (India). At InCorp, he was responsible for end to end execution of deals involving startups as well as listed companies. Prior to InCorp, Shanil was with Chokshi & Chokshi, where he headed various statutory, internal audits and due diligence and conducted valuation exercises. He is a Chartered Accountant from India.

He was part of the core team at TalentSprint - India's leading Ed tech firm - which has now been acquired by NSE.Paresh completed his MBA from IIM Bangalore and has a degree in Electrical Engineering from NIT Bhopal.
