How Merisis Advisors Private Limited collects, uses, shares and protects personal data.
1. Scope

This policy applies to personal data collected through merisisadvisors.com, through the enquiry and onboarding forms on this website, and in the course of providing Portfolio Management Services and Alternative Investment Fund services.
It does not cover the websites of other Merisis Group entities. Merisis Wealth, Merisis Venture Partners and ValueBridge Capital publish their own policies.
2. Data Fiduciary and Grievance Officer
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, Merisis Advisors Private Limited is the Data Fiduciary for personal data collected through this website and our services.

3. Information We Collect
We collect only what we need to respond to you and to deliver our services.
Information you give us
- ·Name, email address, phone number, company name and website
- ·Sector, transaction size and the description you provide in an enquiry form
- ·Any information you choose to send us by email or in a meeting
Information collected during client onboarding
- ·KYC records including PAN, proof of identity and proof of address
- ·Bank and demat account details required to operate a portfolio
- ·Financial profile, investment objectives, risk profile and nominee details
Information collected automatically
- ·Truncated IP address, browser and device type, referring page and pages visited
- ·Google Analytics 4 identifiers, loaded through Google Tag Manager, only where you have accepted analytics cookies
We do not collect biometric data, precise location, or data about your activity on other websites.
4. Purposes and Lawful Basis
We process personal data on the following bases under the DPDP Act.
- ·Responding to an enquiry: your consent, given when you submit the form
- ·Client onboarding and KYC: performance of a contract, and legal obligations under SEBI regulations and the Prevention of Money Laundering Act
- ·Operating and reporting on a portfolio or fund investment: performance of a contract and legal obligation
- ·Regulatory reporting, audit and record keeping: legal obligation
- ·Website analytics: your consent, given through the cookie banner
- ·Marketing communications: your consent, which you may withdraw at any time
We do not use personal data for automated decision making, advertising profiling, or sale to third parties.
5. Sharing of Information
We share personal data only where it is necessary, and under contract where the recipient is a service provider.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data.
6. Cookies and Analytics
This website uses first-party cookies necessary for the site to function. These cannot be switched off.
Analytics cookies are loaded only after you accept them through the consent banner. You may decline without losing access to any part of the site, and you may change your choice at any time.
We do not run advertising networks, retargeting pixels or cross-site trackers on this website.
7. Data Retention
- ·Enquiry form submissions that do not lead to onboarding: retained while the enquiry is active and deleted thereafter
- ·KYC and client records: retained for eight years from the end of the client relationship, as required under SEBI regulations and the Prevention of Money Laundering Act
- ·Server and access logs: retained for a limited period for security and diagnostics
- ·Marketing consent records: retained until consent is withdrawn
Where a retention period is set by regulation, we retain the record for that period even if you ask us to delete it, and we tell you when that is the case.
8. Data Security
We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk. Data in transit is protected using TLS. Access to client records is limited to staff who need it. Administrative access is controlled and logged.
We do not collect or store payment card details on this website.
No system is completely secure. If a personal data breach affects you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required under the DPDP Act.
9. Transfers Outside India
Our primary infrastructure and our client records are held in India. A limited number of service providers, including website hosting and analytics, operate outside India. Where personal data is transferred outside India it is done under contract and only to the extent needed to run the service.
10. Your Rights
As a Data Principal under the DPDP Act you may:
- ·Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you
- ·Ask us to correct or complete inaccurate or out of date information
- ·Ask us to erase personal data where no legal obligation requires us to keep it
- ·Withdraw consent you have given, as easily as you gave it
- ·Nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity
- ·Raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India
Write to us from your registered email address. We will verify your identity before acting on a request.
11. Children
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly process the personal data of anyone under 18. Under the DPDP Act, processing a child’s personal data requires verifiable parental consent. If such data is brought to our notice we will delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We update this policy when the law, our services or our service providers change. The date shown on this page reflects the current version. Where a change is material we will make it visible on this website.
13. Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of India. The courts at Mumbai have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising under it.
